About Drew
I come from an academic background having been born and raised down the street from Princeton Univeristy and my mother working for the university as a writer. Princeton, NJ exudes history everywhere you go- once serving as a temporary capital for the United States in 1781. I then went on to study and earn my B.A. degree in History, at The University of the South in Sewanee, TN (another institution that exudes Southern history and identity) specifically focused on both American History and South African History. After graduating, I become Foreign English and History Teacher in Shenzhen, China- living and working there for 2 years. I returned to the United States, moving to San Francisco to begin my career in business development and sales in tech. I continued learning and educating myself on new books, new scholars and new discoveries of both modern world history and American History.

Hi there! My name is Drew and I have been a life long learner and lover of history. I absolutely love to take my students to the past and imagine ourselves as Native Americans seeing English colonist arrive on the shore of Virginia in 1619, be in the room of Independence Hall in 1776, or be in the shoes of Harriet Tubman during the 19th Century. I truly believe knowing and learning about history makes us each a better informed person and citizen towards building a better future for ourselves, community and world. Excited to connect!
