About Holly
Hii! Bonjour! Dia duit!
My name is Holly, I am from Tipperary and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education in Languages ( French & Gaeilge) in University of Limerick.
I have previously conducted my teaching placement at Junior Cycle level, but I also have experience with the Leaving Cert curriculum, and have conducted mock oral exams with students previously, as well as correcting mock exam papers for ExamCraft.
I have returned to my primary school on occasion to volunteer as a classroom assistant, as well as being a Student Leader and x2 Student of the Year nominee when I was a secondary school pupil, not too long ago.
French and Gaeilge have always been 2 of my most favourite subjects, I am incredibly passionate about not only the languages themselves, but also the rich culture and diverse histories behind them.
This year I was fortunate enough to spend time working with students in the Connemara Gaeltacht, which allowed me to enrich myself in the culture of the language.

My main focus is getting my students comfortable and confident in their language learning abilities, by first discussing with them what they enjoy and what they find difficult.
While my goal is to help them improve their proficiency, it is also to show them that languages don't have to be boring or scary.
Currently, I'm teaching at Junior Cycle level in a local school, but I also have experience with the Leaving Cert course and have conducted mock orals before.
Lessons will be catered for the individual student's needs in line with their course of study (Junior Cycle, Transition Year, Senior Cycle)
