About Lewis
My name is Lewis, I am 30 years old and from West Sussex. I have been playing Snooker from around the age of 14/15 but predominantly a pool player. I've always been fascinated by snooker and I loved to watch the flamboyant players play the flash shots thinking I wish I could do that! Back in 2021 I lost my Mum and I really needed something I could focus on and make her proud, so I decided to take up Snooker properly and become as good of a player as I could be. At that time a 20 break was in the distant future, I could pot balls but get no breaks. I decided to get some professional coaching, I realised how bad I was but it was the best thing I ever did, I had so many bad habits to eradicate but I had a focus point now. I saw my coach every 3/4 months for a 4 hour session which gave me time to home in the things he told me to focus on. Very quickly after I hit my first 20 break which was a significant breakthrough. My aim was to increase my high break by 10 points each month. It was about 6 months before I hit a 50 break but I was stuck there getting frustrated I couldn't go higher. My coach identified a few tweaks we could make and then this was all I needed, the 50 breaks kept coming. it was just over a year after my first lesson that I made my first 100 break (102) that was when I looked back and felt proud of all the hard work I'd put in and the coaching I'd received. From then on it was clear as day to me that I wanted to help others go on that incredibly bumpy yet exhilarating journey and get someone to replicate all the feelings that Snooker gave me. So I decided to do the WPBSA Level 2 course which was an amazing experience and has changed my life completely. Back in March 2024 I did my SightRight Level 1 course with one of the world's best coaches Stephen Feeney, this course is something that not many people have as it's very technical and advanced but is now something I'm incredibly proud to have and separates me from other coaches as I have the world's best techniques to teach.

Each lesson is unique to the individual so is not a "one size fits all" approach. Of course, there is a structure I have in place and a syllabus I think will help a player develop naturally and efficiently but is all catered to the individual's needs. The first lesson is usually getting people's alignment correct, using SightRight methods which are the world's best modern techniques you will identify your unique Sighting line and how to see angles in their purest form being on the line of aim correctly. Once they are comfortable I introduce them to the use of stun, screw and topspin and how to apply this effortlessly with maximum control. From then on I have a structure in place to grow the player once they have the core foundations in place. First lesson is 2 hours since there is so much to fit in and I don't want things to feel rushed, as this lesson can pave the way to an excellent ascend in their snooker journey. But after that lessons can be one hour or up to 3/4 hours depending on frequency of visiting etc. all depends on the individual. Lessons are for anyone who wants to get involved in snooker, from someone who hasn't picked up a cue before and wants to start their journey, or someone who is at the other end of the scale and wants to search for something that will take them to a century break or needs a new challenge. I have a Level 2 WPBSA Coaching qualification and will be undertaking my Level 3 course in 2025 which is the highest level of Snooker coaching available. I also have a SightRight Level one course and in Feb 2025 will be completing my Gold level qualification with the aim to be platinum level thereafter. So I will be the only person to hold both them titles. For juniors there are chances to earn certificates and medals along their journey to feel a sense of achievement and have something to show for their efforts and developments. I use the best training aids on the market which covers all aspects of the game, as well as teaching you few fancy trick shots along the way to show off or use in a frame. All lessons are friendly, sociable and most importantly fun and relaxed to help get the best out of each student.
