I am a Level 5 TEFL certified Teacher.
I have additional certification for Teaching English Online, Teaching English One-to-One and Teaching Business English.
I have been an Entrepreneur for the past 14 years. In this time, my wife and I owned and operated 3 Boutique Hotels in the Western Cape. I trained our staff on an in-house basis in Hotel/Hospitality English. Most of our staff had English as a 2nd or 3rd language. This enabled them too effectively communicate with our Guests that visited from all over the world. Prior to that I owned a Real Estate Agency and worked in a Corporate Environment.
I am a native English speaker and at a C2 level in Afrikaans. I read and understand Flemish (C 1 level) and Dutch and German on a B 1 level.

I believe that every student should start by studying the correct pronunciation. With a strong foundation in phonics and having mastered the laws of English pronunciation, the student can then immediately read a new word upon first sight, and write down a new word after listening to it. This is the first goal and will make future learning much easier.
