About Kathryn

Hello! I am a Level 5 TEFL-certified tutor dedicated to helping students find their voice in English. My journey into teaching began with a passion for reading and a desire to help others love English as much as I do.

Volunteering to teach English to children from Ukraine amplified my love for teaching. This experience taught me that every student learns differently and that patience is the most powerful tool a teacher can have. Whether I am working with a child, a teenager, or an adult, I pride myself on my ability to adapt my style to suit your unique personality and learning pace.

I am a big believer that learning should be enjoyable. In my spare time, I love diving into a good book, watching movies, and listening to music. I often find that discussing these topics is a fantastic way for students to practice English in a natural, relaxed way. If you’re a fan of stories or great music, we will have plenty to talk about!

I bring a professional, structured, and highly encouraging energy to every session. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!

About the lesson

Supportive & Adaptive Approach:
I specialize in creating a high-comfort, low-stress environment. My teaching is deeply influenced by my volunteer experience teaching English to children from Ukraine, where I learned that patience and adaptability are just as important as the lesson plan itself. I teach entirely in English to encourage natural language acquisition, focusing on building "real-world" fluency rather than just memorizing rules. As a native English speaker, I provide a natural model for pronunciation and modern vocabulary.

What to Expect in a Typical Lesson:
All lessons are interactive and goal-oriented. Every session is a mix of structured exercises and open conversation. There will be a focus on both fluency and reading, as well as grammar. You won’t just talk; you’ll receive personalized feedback, supportive corrections on grammar and pronunciation in real-time, helping you see steady, measurable progress.

We focus on practical usage so you can use English in everyday situations immediately.
