About Hafizah
With previous tutoring experience, I know how crucial it is to build a trustworthy environment with my students. I want my students to feel confident in asking questions and even providing feedback on anything I can personally improve on. This also includes parents - I am always open to constructive criticism and can arrange for regular meetings to ensure your child is where you wish them to be. As mentioned, I make my lessons interactive and engaging, using PowerPoints and annotations, which can all be shared with you after the lesson. I am DBS qualified so can assure you that your child is in safe hands.

As a tutor with experience, I know how important is to ensure that lessons are tailored to each student. Every student has their own learning techniques, strengths and weaknesses and that's exactly how I start. I want to know what you're struggling with and what YOU would like more support with, whether that be exam technique or certain topics. And if you're not really sure, that's okay - using short assessments, we can build a long-term plan to ensure that you reach your maximum potential. I make sure my lessons are engaging and interactive to ensure active learning and sometimes this includes many scientifically proven methods such as dual coding and active recall.
I usually recommend an hour/topic per week but of course for students who would like to go over multiple areas or are particularly struggling in a section, we can arrange for a longer session.
I am able to tutor a range of students, including KS1, KS2 (SATs), KS3 and GCSE Biology, English Literature, English Language and Foundation Maths. There may not always be a test you need to study for, but simply just ensuring your knowledge is secure and consolidated too!
