About Denis

Hi, I'm Moriom — GCSE Maths Tutor I’m a passionate tutor and A-Level student based in London, currently studying Maths, Biology, and Chemistry (predicted AAA). I achieved top GCSE results, including a Grade 9 in Maths, and I’ve been tutoring students from Year 6 to Year 11 both privately and through organisations like Boost Education. I chose to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand concepts they once found difficult. I know what it’s like to feel stuck in Maths — and I also know how rewarding it is when things finally start to make sense. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades, but also build real confidence in their ability. I’ve worked with students of mixed abilities, including those preparing for GCSE exams (AQA & Edexcel) and those needing help with KS3 foundations. My lessons are clear, friendly, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I break down complex topics into simple steps, use real exam questions for practice, and create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions. Teaching is more than just a job for me — it’s a chance to make a positive difference in someone’s academic journey. About the lesson

Hi! I'm Moriom, and I specialise in tutoring GCSE Maths for students of all abilities. My approach is all about breaking down tricky concepts, building confidence, and helping students reach their full potential — whether they’re aiming for a pass or pushing for a top grade. I tailor each lesson to the student's individual needs. I use a mix of clear explanations, worked examples, exam-style questions, and regular recap activities to check understanding. I’m very patient and always aim to explain things in a way that’s simple and easy to follow. I also like to show students how Maths connects to real-life situations — this often helps it “click.” Lesson Format & Length Most of my lessons are 1 hour long, which I’ve found is the ideal length to focus, practise, and make solid progress without feeling overwhelmed. However, I’m flexible and can adjust based on the student’s preferences or goals (e.g. longer sessions closer to exams). Qualifications & Experience I’m an A-Level student (predicted A* A* A in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry), with top GCSE grades, including an 8 in Maths and 9s in Sciences and English. I’ve tutored students from Year 6 up to GCSE level, both privately and through organisations like Boost Education. I’m familiar with AQA and Edexcel exam boards and experienced in helping students prepare for their GCSE exams with targeted revision and practice. Who I Teach I work with GCSE Maths students aged 13–16, from Year 9 to Year 11.
