About Emily
I love English literature with all my heart and I believe that teaching also gives me the ability to be able to expand my knowledge and dig deeper into the GCSE texts, long after I have left that era of my life. The idea of supporting you on your GCSE journey makes me feel proud and privileged to work with you. If you choose me, you will have an excited teacher who wants to encourage you and help you grow as a learner.

I will tutor you the basics to the best...
From essay structure, to context and language/structure analysis I will guide you and help you to improve in all aspects of English literature.
I have a grade _ GCSE in my subject, and I'm looking forward to achieving an amazing grade at A-Level, which will hopefully lead me to pursuing English lit in my further education!
Your lessons will consist of recall from previous sessions, a main focus and practice writing - all in 1 hour. I will dedicate my time to marking your work and planning your lessons according to you. I will also give you electronic access to my previous notes from my time studying GCSE English, and recommend other English resources to you.
I can accommodate times to suit you and my lessons will be about learning; I will not put pressure on you. I will always welcome adjustments to your preferred learning style. I believe there is never a limit in English literature, so your learning can go above and beyond to grasp a deeper understanding and knowledge. I will never set you back from exploring the depths of literature - I will dive deep with you. However, if you are looking for a pass and would prefer to work on passing material, that is okay, too - I will help you to float in the shallow end if that is where you are comfortable swimming.
Personally, I studied AQA English literature and studied these texts:
- Macbeth
- A Christmas Carol
- An Inspector Calls.
My poetry anthology was Power and Conflict.
As well as unseen poetry, I can accommodate all learning for the above texts.
