About Tsz Kei
I believe that language is a means for us to convey our feelings and ideas. With written words, speech travels afar and breaks through the limitations of time and space, for people to appreciate the vastness of the world. The appealing words and heartfelt texts reach deep into the heart, enhancing temperament and self-confidence.
As someone who loves Japanese language and culture, I am familiar with not only Japanese pop cultures, entertainment and anime but also Japanese arts, linguistics, dialects and literature. My undergraduate thesis was on a comparative study of Riichi Yokomitsu, a Japanese modernist writer in the 20th century, and I was awarded First Class Honours for the degree.
Aspired to share my knowledge and passion for the language with others, I have been tutoring over the past four years in Hong Kong. I always try my best in creating a motivating learning environment for my students. The most recent tutoring job I did is teaching children from underprivileged families under a community scheme in which my students have made applaudable improvements according to the follow-up test result. Yet, more importantly, I can see that they have built confidence and become more driven to learn, which makes me chuffed to bits.
