About Sophie
I currently study A-level English language and thoroughly enjoyed my studies in GCSE language and literature, leaving with an A and an A*. I have two younger siblings of my own that I help on a daily basis with homework and general revision. Not only do I hope to encourage younger students to be passionate about developing their written and spoken skills so that they receive the best results, but I also aspire to open doors and possibilities in their future careers which is detrimental when considering a less stressful and more enjoyable career path.

My teaching compiles of multiple different approaches, initially the most important aspect is understanding the students as individuals and how their learning is unique to others. This will allow us to learn in a creative and supportive environment where students are free to ask questions and learn outside of the linear school structures so that they benefit as much as possible. Secondly, talking students through the tasks and homework at a pace that they can understand and remember effectively so that lessons are more engaging is equally as important. Offering different techniques of revision is how I hope to make the most impact, allowing them to take what they've learnt from the lessons and confidently apply that knowledge in their own time whilst enjoying what they've learnt. Linking their lessons to other subjects and integrating their studies into everyday life will also help them see the bigger picture and understand the point of everything they learn. Overall, each lesson will be approached in a unique perspective allowing us to tailor the learning to the student and guide them through their personal learning journey.
