About Tooba

Hello, my name is Tooba, and I currently live in the United Arab Emirates, however, I grew up in Pakistan. I like to call myself a global citizen because I was fortunate enough to have visited multiple places and live in some beautiful cities. I was a shy student, and this is why I feel I can understand many students well because I always think about the kind of student I was growing up. shy, introverted, less talkative, scared, feared making mistakes, and just figuring out the world. I like to watch podcasts, listen to audiobooks, and read sometimes, while I also want to write and create videos. I am interested in helping students be more confident and excited about learning. Since I was a scared and shy kid I feel I can relate to many students and help them out by understanding and communicating with them well enough. A lot of students don't like school and want to run away from their studies, and I understand why, because I was once that kid. However, I have learned to love the process of learning, and this is why counseling students and educating them about the learning process has become a passion now I have spent 3 years counseling students. In the first year, I was teaching students skills called life orientation classes where we had the CASEL curriculum and incorporated classes like stress management, time management, bullying, exam anxiety, and communication skills. In the years to follow, I looked at counseling students based on their behavior and helped them become problem-solvers. I public speak English

About the lesson

What we do: - Public speaking and communication skills How we do it: - class activities, interactive sessions, and learn with real-life scenarios. When we do it: - Time can be mutually decided, prioritizing students' availability. Why do we do it: (Aha, most important) - I was on the same boat a decade ago, struggling to communicate and articulate my thoughts, but once I conquered speaking skills, life has taken a new, beautiful turn! - Everyone can learn this skill. - Everyone can overcome their fear of speaking in a crowd. - Everyone can shine and speak their mind. - Everyone deserves to feel confident.
