About Lyra
I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My training is rooted in classical technique, giving students a strong foundation in bowing, vibrato, phrasing, and musical interpretation. I also guide learners in exploring modern expression, helping them adapt their skills to Contemporary and Cinematic styles. I work with students of all levels, from beginners to advanced performers, providing personalized guidance that builds both technical skill and artistic confidence. My experience includes ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation, as well as orchestral coaching for ensemble and solo performance. Lessons focus on developing precision, tone quality, and expressive phrasing, while encouraging creativity and individual musical voice. I integrate repertoire across classical and modern genres, helping students enjoy a wide range of musical experiences. Whether preparing for exams, recitals, or personal projects, I tailor lessons to each learner’s goals. My approach combines discipline with inspiration, ensuring consistent progress while keeping music engaging.
