About James
Having a degree is one thing, but the practical experience I've gleaned over the years has helped me build a better understanding. I follow the different artistic industries, and keep up to date with trends and developments and incorporations of different technology, programs, and engines, etc.
I've worked on concept art for film and games, I've designed blueprints and design drawings for manufacturing, worked in graphic design, children's book illustrations, and even done work for companies like Red Bull.

The most important thing to develop as an artist is to build a strong foundation in the necessary fundamentals of art and design; things like perspective, colour theory, light and shadow, shape dynamics, anatomy, typography, etc. are all things that will influence your work in the future.
As someone who had to teach themselves and learn the hard way as I developed my skills and worked through my degree, I can teach you, and show you all the resources that I wish I had known and had when I was starting to develop as an artist and build a portfolio.
