About Vinod

Vinod Arora, started out in music as a drummer for a year and a half but gradually developed more of his interest in guitar and the harmonical richness of the instrument at the age of 13. Playing guitar under several teachers Vinod finally found himself learning professionally under Vivek Sharma at The Delhi School of Music where he learned more about the theory and studies of guitar and music in general. Soon after his school Vinod decided to pursue music for higher studies at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music,Chennai. Where he learned several aspects of music like Harmony, Comp./Arrangement, reading as well as south indian rhythm system called Konnakol. At SAM he learnt under Denis stern who opened the world for jazz and classical music for vinod which lead him to have a clear definition of his own future in music. He also studied under great musicians like Mateus Asato, Karina Collis, Raghuraman Ramasubramanian, and Zdenek Kansky. With major interest in Jazz Fusion, Progressive music, and classical music, He is highly influenced by Bach,Pat metheny, miles davis, steven wilson to name a few. Vinod is also an artist endorsee of MusicNomadCare and is in process of writing his debut jazz fusion ep. Vinod is currently guitarist of an experimental pop-rock band called KAPOW!, who released their self titled debut record in feb.Quoted as the "SONIC DELIGHT" by rolling stones KAPOW! launched and performed their album dressed up drag queens which was the first time ever happened in India, and Seasons the international blog wrote a whole article about the same. Vinod has worked with allot of international and national musicians like danish khan, christi kanska, ratnang singh, Saptak chatterjee, Raeyna and looks forward to music enlightening his life.

About the lesson

The teaching that i associate myself with is just one word - "Flexible", No matter at what stage the student is, The teaching should always be like water and take the shape of what student's mindset is. It's easy to come up with one schedule but i don't think thats practical. So, Whether it's a beginner or an intermediate musician, Things will be exactly taught the way you wanna learn.
