About Irene

I am a native Italian speaker with a strong passion for teaching and helping others gain confidence speaking the language. My approach is patient, encouraging and tailored to each student, creating a relaxed environment where learners feel comfortable practising and making progress.

Alongside teaching, I am a trained architectural designer with a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree completed in the United Kingdom. My academic and professional background has helped me develop strong communication skills, organisation and a structured approach to learning.

I have previous experience teaching Italian and art to children and young adults, where I developed a creative and engaging teaching style. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt lessons to different ages, learning styles and levels.

My aim is to help students speak Italian naturally and confidently, focusing on conversation, pronunciation and real-life language use. Lessons are supportive, personalised and paced according to each student’s goals.

I believe learning a language should be enjoyable, motivating and practical, and I work with each student to create achievable steps that lead to real progress.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on helping students speak Italian with confidence in a relaxed and supportive environment. I believe that language is best learnt through conversation, curiosity and real-life use, so sessions are centred on speaking, listening and building vocabulary naturally.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, interests and level. Some students may want to improve conversational fluency, others may be preparing for travel, work, or simply wish to reconnect with the language. I adapt the structure and pace accordingly, setting clear and achievable goals so that progress feels motivating and enjoyable.

Lessons are typically 45 minutes to one hour and take place online. A typical session may include conversation practice, pronunciation support, vocabulary building, and light grammar guidance when useful. I encourage students to speak as much Italian as possible during the lesson to build confidence and fluency over time.

I am a trained architectural designer with a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree completed in the United Kingdom. Alongside my professional work, I have experience teaching Italian and art to children and young adults, which has helped me develop a patient, creative and engaging teaching style.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners, and anyone who would like to practise conversational Italian, including adults and young people who want to improve their confidence speaking the language.

My goal is to create a friendly, encouraging space where students feel comfortable practising Italian and gradually become fluent at their own pace.
