About Onceuponatime

I am passionate about sharing my knowledge; I teach Art and Spanish to children because I believe it greatly benefits their health and development by combining art and language alongside the regular school curriculum to enrich their joy of learning and the beauty of the world.

I am a certified and experienced Waldorf teacher, and I lead sessions through colorful, healing, and sensory-guided art techniques, movement, and music—just a few hours in the afternoon filled with joy and creativity.

A little about me: Born in Santiago, Chile, I moved to the US at an early age and was raised in Bethesda, Maryland, until I was 8. Afterwards, I returned to Chile and was raised in a beautiful part of Santiago, surrounded by horses, mountains, and a large family, where I finished high school and college.

I later returned to the U.S. to pursue higher education at UCLA, earning a degree in Design and Communication. I have raised two wonderful daughters—both graduates of UC colleges—and now enjoy my role as a grandmother to two amazing boys. I love teaching Art and Spanish to my community and all children. For the beloved parents, I also offer consultation and guidance upon request. About the lesson

I teach language using the Waldorf method. I am developing an after-school program that offers flexible hours between 1 and 4 in the afternoon. It is open to children who attend regular school as well as homeschooled children, providing a few extra hours to enrich their education with full developmental balance, fostering growth and joy in learning.

It is very creative and rich in sensory experience, providing grounding and healing through full hands-on activities. No screens are involved, just rhythm, heads, hands, and hearts.

I share many songs, poems, dances, and stories from various Hispanic cultures. I also bring beautiful, natural, and noble materials and toys to show and play and create with.

Children learn to meet and have conversations in Spanish very well, and they also learn about different cultures and manners and ways to communicate with love and grace.
