About Bria

Hi! I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice. I’m passionate about helping students build vocal confidence and overcome performance anxiety. Singing is more than just notes—it’s about connecting deeply with the emotions behind every song. I teach a variety of styles including Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship. My lessons focus on breath control, expressive phrasing, and maintaining vocal health. I also offer live performance coaching to prepare students for the stage. Whether you’re a shy beginner, a confident teen performer, or an aspiring recording artist, I tailor my teaching to suit your unique needs. I believe everyone has a special voice waiting to be discovered. Together, we’ll work on developing your sound and finding joy in musical self-expression. My goal is to support you every step of the way on your singing journey. Let’s make music that moves you and your audience!

About the lesson

My voice lessons are designed to support both Suzuki Students and Orchestra Members in developing strong, healthy, and expressive singing. For Suzuki Students, I focus on early ear training, matching pitch through games, and building vocal habits through repetition and routine—just like their instrumental practice. Breathing techniques are taught in playful, age-appropriate ways that support natural tone and control. I use apps like *Vocal Pitch Monitor* and *Tenuto* to train the ear and track progress in pitch and tone.

For Orchestra Members, I focus on blending voice with ensemble sensitivity. We work on breath support for sustained phrases, posture for stamina, and tone balance in group settings. I introduce vocal health habits to prevent strain during rehearsals and performances. Pitch accuracy is sharpened through interval training and guided listening using digital tools.

Each student learns how to connect emotionally with music—Suzuki learners through imaginative storytelling, and orchestra singers through dynamic interpretation and phrasing. Performance skills like stage presence, facial expression, and microphone technique are taught step-by-step. My goal is to help every student find their unique voice while staying connected to the ensemble’s sound.
