About Martin

I am a math teacher at two Estonian schools and also a software engineer with extensive experience in building websites and e-shops. My PhD research looks at how real-time feedback and AI can help students learn better on their own, make teachers' work easier, and improve how we give feedback in math lessons. The system I’m working on is being tested in Estonia and could be used in schools across Europe. Earlier, for my master’s thesis in Business IT at Tallinn University of Technology, I built a fun learning platform that helped students score higher on national exams—15% better in math and 12% better in Estonian. I also have a bachelor’s degree in IT Systems Development from the same university, where I helped build APIs to improve payment systems for a company listed on Nasdaq.

About the lesson

I offer professional programming and design lessons for beginners as well as advanced learners. My lessons focus on building modern, mobile-friendly, and high-performing websites, e-shops, and business software.

I teach front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and guide students in creating user-friendly interfaces with React and Angular. For back-end development, I cover languages like Python, PHP, Java, C#, and C, along with frameworks such as Symfony, Node.js, and .NET. Students also learn how to build secure server logic, integrate APIs, and implement authentication and payment solutions.

Lessons can also include platform-specific development for Shopify, WordPress, Wix, and more. I help students understand SEO best practices, database management (SQL and NoSQL), and how to design modern, user-friendly interfaces using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Illustrator.

My approach is collaborative and flexible, tailored to each student’s goals, whether you want to develop a full MVP for a startup, optimize workflows, or improve your coding skills. I am fluent in Estonian, English, and Russian and have experience teaching students across Europe.
