About Janine
Learn Portuguese in a funny and dynamic way. All the levels are welcome. I am a qualified teacher who specialized in Portuguese and English. I strongly believe in lifelong learning, this is the reason why I keep investing in my education. I studied Psychology for 5 years, and I found myself interested in the learning process, especially Languages. I studied English in Brazil and improved it living in Australia. I've been teaching for 7 years. And I love to work teaching and using all my psychology and language skills to help you in my classes.

I have been teaching online and in-person for years and I have specific teaching strategies to engage my students. I prepare all the personalized material for the lesson. At the end of the lesson, I will email you with all the material + exercises to do at home. Each lesson includes varied activities to build your knowledge of the Portuguese language and constantly improve your reading, speaking, listening, and writing skills. I adopt the communicative approach, which means that during the lesson I speak Portuguese as much as I can, but switch to English every time it is needed, especially when I explain the grammar. Each lesson is carefully planned, including PowerPoints that explain the grammar in English.
