About Smera
As a violin tutor with a Graduate Diploma in Violin Pedagogy and over 7 years of experience, I integrate music theory, aural skills, and sight reading into every lesson. I help students prepare for music theory exams and deepen their harmony knowledge. My lessons include teaching scales, intervals, and harmony with practical bowing and fingering exercises that make theory practical and fun. This hands-on method supports strong sight-reading and musical fluency. I’ve worked with many exam candidates and students wanting to strengthen their overall musicianship. My goal is to develop confident, well-rounded violinists with solid theoretical foundations. Understanding theory alongside technique unlocks expressive playing and greater musical insight. I’m excited to guide you on a journey towards becoming a confident, knowledgeable, and versatile musician.
