About Allison
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 14 years of experience teaching high school and college students. I have successfully taught around 150 students, helping them build strong skills and confidence in playing. I teach classical, jazz, pop, soul, funk, and R&B styles, along with keyboard, synthesizer, and harpsichord. My teaching philosophy is based on clear communication, patience, and creativity. I believe in making lessons enjoyable and personal to each student’s goals. One of my proudest achievements is seeing students go from beginners to performing confidently or creating their own music. I aim to inspire a real love for piano in every student I teach.

My teaching approach to piano is focused on clear communication, flexibility, and creativity. I believe every student learns in their own way, so I adapt my lessons to fit their goals, pace, and interests. Whether you’re learning classical, jazz, soul, pop, funk, R&B, or modern styles, I make sure lessons are engaging and easy to follow.
I teach not only piano but also related instruments like keyboard, synthesizer, and harpsichord. I cover music theory, sight reading, ear training, finger techniques, improvisation, and performance skills. I also help students with songwriting and stage confidence when needed.
I’ve been playing piano for over 14 years, and I teach with honesty and care. I hold students accountable while also supporting them every step of the way. My aim is to help each student build a strong foundation and a deep love for music. With the right mix of structure and creativity, I help students grow into confident, skilled musicians.
