About Aaron
Hi, I’m Aaron, a professional photographer with 10+ years working in commercial and architectural photography. I teach creative photography in a simple, hands-on way so beginners go from ‘confused by settings’ to shooting confidently in any light.
Lessons are tailored to your camera (DSLR/mirrorless/phone), your goals, and your pace, whether you want better travel shots, portraits, or creative storytelling.

My approach to tutoring is practical, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on helping students understand why they’re doing something, not just how - building confidence with both technical skills and creative decision-making.
Lessons are structured around a mix of explanation, demonstration, and hands-on shooting or image review. Depending on the student’s level, we may cover camera fundamentals, exposure and composition, working with natural light, developing a visual style, or understanding photography in a professional context.
I adapt each session to suit how the student learns best.
Typical lessons run for 60–90 minutes, allowing enough time to cover concepts in depth while keeping things focused and engaging. Sessions can be on location, or discussion-led, depending on the topic.
I have over 10 years’ experience working as a professional photographer, including extensive in-house experience on large architectural projects. I regularly work with designers, architects, and creative teams, and bring real-world industry insight into my teaching.
My lessons are suited to beginners and intermediate photographers, including adults, students, creatives, and professionals looking to strengthen their photography skills or move toward more design-led work. No prior formal training is required - just curiosity and a willingness to learn.

Perfect! We had an awesome timedespite the weather we each got some amazing shot plus he explained in great detail , how to use settings and why.
- Noel has a great eye for taking a good photograph, he was very enthusiastic and engaged throughout the session. Noel took on manual mode well and was engaged throughout, coming out with some really well composed images.See the response Aaron :
Id encourage Noel to keep experimenting with Manual mode for creative effect and also to set some fun photography briefs to explore some more set up / advertising shots !
