My name is Nandini, and Kathak has been a part of my life for over 13 years. I hold a diploma in Indian classical dance and have trained rigorously in both the technical and expressive aspects of the art form. For me, Kathak is more than just a dance style—it’s a powerful way to tell stories, express emotion, and stay connected to my cultural roots. Teaching Kathak brings me immense joy, and I’m passionate about passing on this beautiful tradition in a way that’s approachable, inspiring, and fun. Hi! I’m Nandini, a trained Kathak dancer with a diploma and over 13 years of experience in Indian classical dance. My classes are designed to be fun, engaging, and tailored to each student’s pace and level. I offer one-to-one sessions that focus on mastering Kathak’s foundational movements, expressions (abhinaya), footwork (tatkar), and storytelling through rhythm and grace.
Lessons typically last 1 to 1.5 hours and are perfect for beginners who are just starting their classical dance journey, as well as for intermediate learners looking to deepen their technique and performance skills. I place strong emphasis on discipline and cultural understanding, but I also believe that dance should be joyful and confidence-building.
Whether you’re preparing for a performance, aiming to reconnect with classical roots, or just want to learn something beautiful and new, I’m here to guide you with patience, encouragement, and enthusiasm.
