About Marzia
I’m Italian-Australian, born and raised in Italy, and I moved to Australia almost two years ago. After living and working in Rome for many years, I now call Adelaide home.
My background is in International Relations, communication, cultural projects and events, and I’ve always been curious about people, languages and different cultures. I currently teach Italian to adult students in Adelaide, creating lessons that combine conversation with literature, music, creative writing and contemporary Italian culture.
I love sharing not only the Italian language, but also the little things that make Italy Italy — the way we communicate, our expressions, traditions, humor, food, art and everyday life. I’m friendly, curious and informal, and I want my students to feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes and enjoying the language.

I believe the best way to learn Italian is to use it, enjoy it and connect it to real life. My lessons are highly conversational and tailored to each student’s interests and level. We can explore Italian culture, literature, poetry, music and current topics, while naturally building vocabulary, grammar and confidence.
I also love using creative activities, role-playing, storytelling and writing games to make lessons engaging and encourage students to express themselves in Italian rather than simply memorizing rules.
With my background in International Relations, communication and cultural projects, I particularly enjoy discussing Italian society, art, cities, politics and contemporary culture with intermediate and advanced students. Whether you want to improve your conversation, prepare for a trip to Italy or simply reconnect with Italian language and culture, we can build the lessons around what genuinely interests you.
