About Lara

Hola todo,
My name is LaRissa, I am a former Spanish high school teacher in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. As an undergraduate at Valdosta State University, I was my Spanish Professor's intermediate-level aide for a year. I would help the lower-level students with their work/speech to help them feel more confident by speaking with an individual their age. I believe the final courses I took before I graduated equipped me with the necessary tools to get involved with the community and make an impact on the lives of those that wish to speak, enhance or learn another language. I love the impact and influence that I have on the people with whom I work. Pupils begin seeing results as soon as two sessions. : ) I have studied college-level French for two years, while in the process of obtaining my Bachelor's degree. I am skilled in the intermediate to beginning-advanced level. With English as my first language, I am able to defend my provisions using grammar rules and regulations, proper punctuation marks and to help to develop a sophisticated vocabulary word bank. With taking a course or two in Computer Applications, I have learned to appropriately navigate and get the best out of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint software programs. If any last-minute help is needed with tutoring, interpreting, translating and circumlocution skills, I hope I can be trusted and used as your supplemental help with acquiring or perfecting your tutoring needs.
