About Laurence

-French Canadian, born and raised in Quebec City where French is the language spoken in all public spaces, schools, work environments and most homes. -I can speak/teach international French as well as the Quebec specific dialect -I have a bachelor's degree from Université Laval in Art and Science of Animation -I have a college degree in Creative Arts, Languages and Literature from Champlain Regional College -I have a diploma of acting from Vancouver Film School -I have been a summer camp counselor, teaching kids and teens the art of filmmaking -I have tutored French up to university students I have been working in the film industry for over 10 years and Cinema is my passion -I am fully bilingual in French and English, intermediate in Spanish (I understand and studied it for 7 years in school) and very basic German (studied 2 years in school) -I am attentive, patient, passionate and want you to succeed

About the lesson

-For all ages and levels, I have worked with children and adults, beginners to university students.
-The classes are tailored to your specific needs and goals; we assess your level and objectives during the first class
-International French or Quebecois French, depending on what you wish to learn/improve
-I can teach pronunciation and accent, being an actor with a language degree, I can help actors (or non-actors) gain or lose a Quebec French or France French accent (depending on your goal)
-I can teach vocabulary, grammar, writing, reading
-Conversations
-Understanding
-Quebecois culture, history, expressions/idioms and contractions (which can be tricky at first, but we can get there ;) )
