About Hazel

I’m a guitar tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music, specializing in guitar, and over 12 years of teaching and playing experience. I’ve worked across many genres like rock, classical, folk, and blues, which helps me bring a wide range of styles to my lessons. Whether you’re a young beginner or an adult looking to improve, I’m passionate about helping you build both confidence and technical skill. My teaching is friendly and patient, focusing on what you want to achieve. I believe music should be enjoyable and inspiring at every step. Together, we’ll work on technique, theory, and practical playing to develop your unique sound. I tailor each lesson to fit your goals, pace, and interests. I love seeing students grow from nervous beginners to confident musicians. It’s rewarding to watch their skills improve and their passion for music deepen. Whether it’s learning a new song or mastering a difficult technique, I’m here to support you all the way. Let’s make your guitar journey fun, fulfilling, and full of music.

About the lesson

My teaching approach to guitar is all about helping each student grow in their own way. I focus not only on playing skills but also on ear training and music theory to build a strong foundation. We work on performance coaching to build confidence and stage presence, so students feel ready to play anywhere. I use personalized instruction that fits each learner’s style and goals.

I include modern tools like Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), amp simulators, and metronome apps to make practice more fun and effective. This way, students can experiment with sounds and timing on their own. For those who love exploring jazz or want to break the rules and find their own style, I guide them to improve creatively while staying grounded in technique.

I believe every player can shine with the right support and encouragement. My lessons are a mix of structured learning and creative freedom. We set clear goals but also keep space for fun and discovery. Together, we develop skills, confidence, and a deep love for guitar. I’m here to help students not just play notes but express themselves fully through music.
