About Talia
I teach guitar with 4 years of experience, and I am also active as a performer and composer. My degree is a Bachelor of Music in Composition with a Guitar Emphasis. I believe music is a lifelong skill that sparks creativity and expression. My lessons focus on acoustic fingerstyle and classical guitar. Beginners are taught solid foundations with patience. Advanced musicians work on nuance, phrasing, and artistry. I emphasize the importance of intricate arrangement and careful technique. Lessons balance structure with personal exploration. My performance background adds depth to teaching musical expression. My experience as a composer inspires students to create their own ideas. Each session is lively, supportive, and engaging. I teach guitar with a focus on both musicianship and instrument knowledge. A guitarist should know how to play well and how to care for their guitar. Lessons cover music theory, rhythm, technique, and performance skills. Students also learn how to change strings, adjust setup, and handle maintenance. I introduce guitar electronics and effects pedals for tone shaping. This knowledge builds independence and confidence. Beginners are supported with simple steps and steady progress. Advanced learners are encouraged to refine expression and technical mastery. The Campfire Strummer learns how to play with confidence while keeping their guitar ready to go. The Worship Leader gains skills for both smooth performance and reliable gear setup. Lessons are practical, engaging, and tailored to each student. I combine clear explanations with demonstrations. My teaching helps students grow as complete musicians. With every lesson, learners strengthen both their sound and their connection to the instrument.
