About Kaia

With more than 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), I help students transform their guitar playing into creative expression. My lessons highlight compositional techniques, arranging for guitar, and original music creation. Students explore harmony, melody, counterpoint, and the art of capturing ideas through demo recordings. I adapt my teaching to match individual goals, ensuring each learner feels supported. My students include beginners taking their first steps, advanced musicians refining their skills, and professionals seeking guidance in composition. I believe that every guitarist has a unique voice. My role is to nurture both technique and creativity. Lessons are engaging, flexible, and designed to encourage curiosity. Over time, students not only improve their playing but also gain confidence in writing their own music. I strive to make every session inspiring and practical. I warmly welcome you to join me in discovering the joy of creating original guitar music.

About the lesson

When I teach guitar, I focus on making theory simple and useful. Scales, modes, and chords are explained clearly, then applied on the fretboard. Harmonic analysis helps students understand why music sounds the way it does. I then guide them to use the same tools in improvisation and composition. Lessons are flexible and meet students where they are. Some want bold freedom, others prefer refined detail. I provide support and guidance for both. Improvisation is taught as a natural step in learning. Writing original music helps students express their ideas. I show concepts through clear examples and demonstrations. Over time, students see how theory supports creativity. My lessons build confidence, skill, and imagination together. I aim to make every session inspiring, practical, and fun.
