About Ella

I have over 12 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Guitar Emphasis. My lessons are tailored to fit each student’s unique goals and skill level. I specialize in fingerstyle, blues improvisation, soloing techniques, and chordal theory. I teach students from beginners just starting out to advanced players working toward professional mastery. My supportive and motivating style helps students stay confident and inspired. I enjoy working across many genres, including rock, funk, jazz, and folk. In our lessons, you’ll develop solid technique while exploring the musical styles you love. I believe every player has a unique voice, and my goal is to help you find and express yours. Whether you want to improve your soloing or deepen your understanding of chords, I’m here to guide you. Let’s explore your musical voice together, one string at a time. I’m excited to help you grow and enjoy your guitar journey.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is all about helping students connect deeply with the guitar and find their own unique style. I focus on building a strong sense of rhythm and groove, which are essential for playing any genre well. We practice tempo control carefully, so you can stay steady and confident in every song.

I guide students through different styles like blues, funk, and folk, helping them adapt techniques to fit each genre’s feel. This variety keeps lessons fun and broadens your musical skills. For those who love playing around the campfire or leading worship, I offer tailored support to help you shine in those settings.

My lessons focus on practical skills you can use right away, from strumming patterns to fingerpicking and improvisation. I believe in learning by doing, so we spend plenty of time playing together. Patience and regular practice are key parts of my method.

I encourage creativity and expression, so every student develops their own voice on the guitar. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, I adapt lessons to match your goals.
