About Jasper
I have an ATCL Diploma in Violin Performance (Distinction), as well as Grade 8 ABRSM Violin (Distinction). with over 10 years of experience playing in orchestras, quartets and string ensembles. A highlight I have was performing with The Piano Guys when I was 13! I am currently studying at the University of Manchester, and play in the Manchester University Symphony Orchestra.
I've been learning the violin for over 10 years, and have had the pleasure of being under the tutorage of some amazing teachers.
Always a learner in life, experiencing both good and - let's just say not amazing - teaching across all aspects, I know what works and engages me, and by being inspired by the best, I know how I would want to be taught. I will use both sides of my experiences to make your experience the best it can be.

Personalised, engaging violin lessons for students of all ages. I will cater my lessons to you, whether you are a beginner or a player with years of experience.
I recommend lessons of 1hr 30, but they can be longer or shorter if need be. Don't worry, the time will fly.
I teach students from Grade 1 to Grade 8. We can learn exam pieces (or Suzuki), popular pieces you're interested in, or a mix of both!
We will cover:
Proper violin technique: to ensure long lasting good habits which will stick with you for life and allow you to continuously improve over time
Techniques to play passionately and get to the root of the music, with a goal to evoke emotion rather than just playing the notes
