About Jessica

My name is Jessica. I was born and raised in Ivory Coast, a French-speaking country in West Africa, to an American mother and a Togolese father—both fluent in French and English. Growing up in a multilingual and multicultural household, I developed a deep love for languages and an appreciation for diverse ways of learning.

About the lesson

As a French tutor, I focus on making language learning fun, interactive, and tailored to the needs of each person. My teaching method combines visual aids, songs, games, storytelling, and hands-on activities to keep learners engaged and motivated. I believe children learn best when they’re having fun, so my lessons are designed to be joyful, creative, and age-appropriate.

A typical lesson includes:

Warm-up activity (such as a welcome song or a short game to review vocabulary)
Thematic vocabulary introduction using flashcards, images, or puppets
Interactive speaking activities, like role play or songs
Creative tasks such as crafts, drawing, or movement-based games
Story time or listening activity
Quick review and goodbye song
My lessons follow a structured curriculum based on weekly themes (e.g., colors, animals, family, food, body parts), and each session helps build vocabulary, listening comprehension, speaking confidence, and cultural awareness. I offer programs for ages 2–6, adapted to both beginners and early learners, in either in-person or online formats.

What sets me apart is my experience as a native French speaker and teacher, my ability to connect with young children, and the personalized attention I give each student. Whether it’s one-on-one tutoring or small group sessions, my goal is to create a nurturing and enriching environment where children feel confident and excited to speak French.
