About

I have always lived in the French countryside (1H from Toulouse in the Southwest). My life has always been very rural. I grew up in a small village with only 1100 people in it. French cuisine, traditions and way of life have always been at the center of my life. I love France, I love its culture and I love its people! I am very open-minded. I am French-Irish-American because the Irish part of my family was from Boston which is why I am doing this. My mother is a middle-school teacher and though I have never taught in my life, I have a basis that she gave to me.

About the lesson

The most important thing about learning a language is that once you can understand and can be understood, you have everything you need! I have always lived in the French countryside — it’s a big part of who I am and how I speak. The language, the culture, the little ways of saying things… they’re all influenced by that way of life. If you’d like to practice your spoken French and sound more natural, I’d be happy to help. We can chat about all kinds of topics — everyday life, culture, travel, cuisine or anything else you’re interested in. The idea is to help you feel more comfortable speaking and understanding real French, not just the version you find in books.
