About Johnathas

Immersive since 1st class.

The program's objective is to improve the students' English level. Classes 100% in English teach different idiomatic abilities, according to the students' own abilities, objectives and needs, regarding the target language. All programs teach the following: English for conversation, grammar, listening comprehension, writing, and vocabulary.

Many people go to immersive classes as means to prepare themselves to study at a College or University. In such case, students may opt for an intensive program focused on academic English. Other students may opt for these classes in order to improve their English level for touristic or social purposes. It's also possible to have "general English" classes in order to improve one's conversation and develop its manifold abilities, so as to communicate in more diverse situations. Business English is also available for students who wish to learn specific vocabulary and its related communicative abilities, essential to anyone who wants to delve into enterpreneurship or do business in English.

My main focus is to teach adolescents (14+) and adults.

About the lesson

I began my journey of knowledge in the English language at the age of three, having gone through several courses, such as Young English Course, Cultural Institute (CNA) and Yázigi. At that time language courses were still more rudimentary because there was no internet and no super fast computers (as well as no cell phones or Facebook), all my searches were conducted through books and encyclopedias. Fortunately, we have evolved. Today my classes are held through Whatsapp, where I have specially developed PDF files for distance learning as well as audio files that the student can listen to as many times as desired. Although technology has evolved, the speed of learning is still determined by the same organ of the human body: the brain. Essentially, therefore, the study is divided into three stages: In the first the student reads and listens to the audios (practice of reading and writing skills), to memorize certain words and to have safety when using them in their phrasal constructions. In the second stage the student demonstrates to the teacher his degree of absorption of information and is challenged on creating new sentences using these same elements (practice of conversation and understanding skills). In the last step, the student demonstrates his ability to use the vocabulary acquired in its written form when responding to activities specially developed for this purpose (writing skills development and content review). Some people will identify themselves with this method while others will prefer in-person classes. It's totally understandable. The pace of learning follows a natural evolution, as well as the vocabulary and the topics covered. Last but not least: you will be forming complete sentences and communicating even in the first month of learning.
