About Jose

I am a Masters of Business Administration student at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a deep love of the English language. I have spent 25 years in the workforce in roles where I have mastered the skill of fit-for-forpurpose writing and public speaking.

Out & About English — Learning while we explore different hiking trails in Sydney.

-Everyday Conversation: Simple greetings, introductions, asking for help, and common phrases used in daily life
-Listening & Pronunciation Skills
Understanding different accents and practising clear, confident speaking
-Essential Grammar in Context
Not rules for the sake of rules, but how to build real sentences you can actually use
-Real-World Vocabulary
Words and phrases for work, shopping, travel, and social situations so you feel immediately capable

Creative Writing
- exploring and building your ideas
- finding your voice as a writer
- working on style, theme, and tone
- understanding and using literary devices

Public Speaking
- crafter your message
- communicating the “why”… what is the purpose of your message
- understanding and engaging with the audience
- technique and delivery…intonation, timing, rhythm and more

English Literature
- understanding text types
- exploring the relationship between the composer and the responder
- deconstructing and close analysis of text

Each student is different. I tailor every lesson to suit you, using real-world settings like a coffee, a walk, or a hike to explore practical examples, with time built in to show your understanding in action.

My pricing is $40 per hour with the option to take class bundles for better value. Each session will have elements of structured learning, practical application, and customisation based on your needs and wants.

My availability can be flexible on the following days and times (Sydney GTM +10):
