About Andaleeb

Hi, I'm Andaleeb — a published author of nearly fifty novels across young adult, romance, horror and speculative fiction, with books published by Simon & Schuster and Penguin, among others. One of my novels was adapted for Amazon Prime, and my YA novel The Henna Start-up won both the Neev Literature Festival Award and the Crossword Book Award in 2024.
I've been writing since the age of ten, which means I've spent decades thinking deeply about how the English language works — not just its grammar and rules, but its rhythm, texture, and power to connect people.
Beyond writing, I design and lead creative writing workshops, and there is nothing I enjoy more than helping someone find their voice and express themselves with confidence. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who already communicates in English but wants to do so more fluently and naturally, I would love to work with you.
My lessons are warm, relaxed, and entirely tailored to your goals. You won't find rigid textbook drills here — just real, purposeful English, guided by someone who has lived and breathed the language professionally for years.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching

I believe that learning English works best when it feels purposeful and alive. As a published fiction author and creative writing workshop facilitator, I bring a storyteller's instinct to every lesson — helping students not just learn the rules of English, but understand how to use the language with confidence, clarity, and their own voice.

My lessons are conversational and student-led. I start by understanding what you want to achieve — whether that's improving everyday communication, writing more clearly, or simply becoming more comfortable expressing yourself in English — and we build from there.

Techniques and methodology

I draw on real-world texts, storytelling exercises, and guided conversation to make grammar and vocabulary stick naturally. Rather than drilling rules in isolation, I weave them into meaningful contexts — so you learn how English actually works in writing, speech, and everyday life.

Each lesson includes a mix of guided discussion, writing practice, and constructive feedback. I adapt my approach to your learning style — some students benefit from structured exercises, others from open-ended conversation. We'll find what works best for you.

Lesson length

Each session runs for 60 minutes — long enough to explore a topic in depth, but focused enough to keep you engaged throughout. I make sure every lesson ends with a clear takeaway and, where helpful, a short exercise to practise before our next session.

Qualifications and experience

I am a published fiction author with professional experience working in English across international contexts. I also design and lead creative writing workshops, which has given me hands-on experience breaking down language skills for diverse groups — from complete beginners to confident writers looking to refine their craft.

This combination of real-world professional experience and workshop facilitation means I understand both how English is used in practice and how to teach it effectively.

Who are my lessons for?

My lessons are open to all levels and all ages — from teenagers building a foundation to adults looking to communicate more effectively in work, study, or daily life. Whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate learner wanting to sound more natural and expressive, you are welcome.

If you have a particular goal — improving written English, preparing for an interview, or simply becoming more fluent in conversation — we can tailor the lessons entirely around that. No two students are the same, and no two lessons need to be either.

I was now hooked to both her books and her classes. Did the 'Idea to Draft' and the 'Romance writing lab' recently and have already enrolled for one more. If you are serious about writing and want your words to fall into stories that people would love to read, you MUST join her classes. They are short, very interesting and you end up writing more in these classes than you can ever think of.
