About Kasuni
I have a bachelor's degree in Arts, two master's degrees in Classics and a diploma in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language). I have extensive experience teaching ESL in a government university and two professional education institutes in the state sector. I have taught English as a Second Language, English for Academic Purposes, Business English, and Professional Communication for basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. I teach learners who are 15 and above using task-based lessons with a communicative approach. My lessons start with interesting Warm-up activities and follow a series of tasks and activities based on chosen themes that use all 4 language skills, with more emphasis on speaking. The lessons wrap up with a discussion/student feedback time. My lessons are student-centered, and I use age-appropriate lesson materials that can retain student interest.
