About Kane Jacob

I've been a writer (in English) for 12 years and have written many different pieces in various styles. I like to uphold the traditions and proper grammatical use of the English language and strive to use it to communicate thoughts and ideas concisely and effectively.

In 2020, I was working with many foreigners who had first languages other than English. I was responsible for training many of these people, and it amazed me how lucky most English people are to have never faced the challenge of learning a second language and adapting to a foreign-speaking climate.

That year, I met a Polish man who spoke 7 different languages, and it blew my mind. It was from that day that I set myself the challenge of learning another language fluently. I chose Russian, of all languages, and I'm still not fluent to this day. However, I've learnt a lot about language learning in general, which is what inspired me to take a TEFL (Teaching English to Foreign Learners) course online and become qualified to teach English.

Since then, I've also studied German to an A2-B1 level and have become extremely passionate about all things language-related. So, now I'm qualified to teach my native language whilst being a learner in other languages. Because of this, I understand how daunting and overwhelming it can be sometimes. Don't worry... I'm here to help you, and together, we can take your English language skills to the next level!

About the lesson

I have a unique approach to teaching English that you won’t find in schools or traditional institutions.

I make my sessions fun and engaging for my students, whatever their skill level, and adjust my teaching to match their needs.

I have a lot of experience with learning languages and use the most effective, scientifically-proven methods to help my students.

With me, learning English is quick and effortless. Just keep an open mind and stay consistent with your lessons, and you’re sure to see results and start speaking in no time! :)

Typically, I will focus on building your vocabulary with useful words and phrases, whilst exposing them to you naturally in our lessons (mostly through reading). We will do a lot of shadow reading. Shadow reading is where the teacher reads a sentence or two first, and the student repeats after to help with their pronunciation.

We will occasionally cover grammar, too, and I like to adapt my lessons to each students individual needs.

The travel fee is actually $5.50 in the Melbourne metropolitan area.

I offer 1 hour of free tutoring to students who purchase a 5-hour bulk pack (so, you actually get 6 hours for $180).
