About Biswajit

I am Biswajit Nanda, a UK-based professional singer, certified and classically trained vocalist, and passionate music teacher with over a decade of musical experience.

I have had the privilege of working with legendary Bollywood singers including Anup Jalota, Kumar Sanu, Sadhana Sargam and Hema Sardesai. I was also the winner of the Vijeta 2021 (Season 2) singing competition.

Trained under respected gurus from renowned Indian gharanas, I have developed a deep love for Bollywood melodies, soulful bhajans and Indian classical music.

For me, singing is not just about hitting the right notes. It is about expressing emotions, connecting with the audience and finding joy through music.

I love teaching because I believe everyone has a voice worth nurturing. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping students discover their musical potential, develop confidence and experience the happiness of singing beautifully.

Whether you dream of singing your favourite Bollywood songs, performing devotional bhajans or simply improving your voice, I would be delighted to be part of your musical journey.

**Let's make music a beautiful part of your life!**

About the lesson

**Discover the Joy of Singing Bollywood Songs and Soulful Bhajans – With Professional Vocal Guidance!**

Have you always dreamed of singing your favourite Bollywood songs beautifully? Do you love devotional music and wish to express your emotions through soulful bhajans? Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced singer looking to refine your skills, I would love to guide you on your musical journey.

I am a certified, classically trained professional vocalist with over a decade of musical experience, mentored by respected gurus from renowned Indian gharanas. I was also the winner of **Vijeta 2021 (Season 2)** and have had the privilege of working with celebrated Bollywood singers, including Kumar Sanu, Sadhana Sargam and Hema Sardesai.

**My Teaching Philosophy – Learn to Sing, Not Just Memorise Songs**

I believe that singing is much more than hitting the right notes. It is about developing a beautiful voice, understanding melody, expressing emotions and connecting with your audience.

My lessons combine the foundations of Indian classical music with practical Bollywood and devotional singing techniques. You do not need prior classical training to begin!

**What Will You Learn?**

**Bollywood Singing:** Learn your favourite old and new Bollywood songs with attention to sur (pitch), taal (rhythm), pronunciation, expression and vocal techniques.

**Bhajan Singing:** Discover the beauty of devotional singing through traditional and contemporary bhajans, learning how to bring emotion, devotion and musical depth into every performance.

**Voice Development:** Improve your vocal range, breath control, pitch accuracy, voice stability, clarity and overall singing confidence.

**Classical Foundations:** Learn essential techniques such as alankars, sargam, meend and basic raga concepts to strengthen your singing naturally.

️ **Expression and Feel:** Understand how to bring the right emotions into romantic songs, soulful melodies and devotional compositions.

**Performance Confidence:** Learn microphone techniques, stage presentation and how to sing confidently in front of an audience.

**How Does a Typical Lesson Work?**

Each lesson is personalised according to your experience, musical interests and goals.

**1. Vocal Warm-Up:** We begin with breathing exercises, voice activation and simple vocal techniques to prepare your voice.

**2. Sur and Rhythm Practice:** We work on pitch accuracy, vocal control, rhythm and exercises suited to your level.

**3. Song Learning:** We select a Bollywood song or bhajan and work through its melody, pronunciation, musical phrases and expression.

**4. Personalised Feedback:** I help you identify areas for improvement and demonstrate techniques to make your singing more polished and expressive.

**5. Guided Riyaz:** You receive practical suggestions for home practice so that you can continue improving between lessons.

**What Makes My Lessons Different?**

Unlike lessons that simply teach you to repeat a song, my approach focuses on helping you understand and develop your own voice.

My professional performance experience, classical foundation and passion for Bollywood and devotional music allow me to combine traditional musical knowledge with practical, enjoyable teaching.

Every student is different. Some want to sing confidently at family gatherings, some dream of performing on stage, while others simply want to experience the peace and happiness of singing bhajans.

Whatever your goal, my aim is to help you become a more confident, expressive and independent singer.

**Who Can Join?**

My lessons are suitable for beginners, hobby singers, devotional music enthusiasts and aspiring performers. Adults and young learners are welcome, with lessons adapted to their individual needs.

**Book Your Free Demo Lesson!**

Your musical journey deserves the right guidance. Come and discover how enjoyable and fulfilling learning Bollywood songs and bhajans can be.

**Let's bring out the beautiful singer within you!**

Happy Singing!
