About Isobel

Hello! I’m a British Law student currently studying in the Netherlands, with a strong academic background in essay-based subjects. I achieved high grades in both English Language and English Literature at GCSE and continued with English Literature at A-Level, alongside Psychology and Sociology. I’ve always had a genuine passion for reading, writing, and helping others express themselves clearly. Whether it was supporting classmates with coursework, helping younger students refine their writing, or tutoring my sisters through their English exams, I’ve developed a method of teaching that’s calm, clear, and effective. At university, I regularly work with legal texts and produce high-level academic writing, which means I understand how to teach structure, argumentation, and clarity in essays. I also hold two mentoring positions at university: one for new Law students, and another supporting incoming international students, so I’m used to explaining things in a way that’s accessible, friendly, and adapted to different learning styles. My sessions are focused on real progress, not just reading texts, but developing the skills students need to analyse, structure, and write with confidence. Whether you need help with GCSE Language techniques, A-Level Literature essays, or general writing skills, I’m here to help make English feel a little less overwhelming, and a lot more manageable.

About the lesson

My English tutoring sessions are clear, structured, and designed to boost both your confidence and your grades. Whether you’re struggling with Shakespeare, exam timing, or essay structure, I’ll help you break everything down into manageable steps. I support students in both English Literature and English Language at GCSE and A-Level. Together, we’ll improve how you approach texts, analyse language, and structure high-mark essays, all while building the skills you need to tackle your exams with confidence. Lessons are 60 minutes long and take place online. I tailor each session to your personal goals and learning style, and I focus on teaching practical techniques you can apply right away.
