About Rosanna

Hello! I'm a Law graduate from the University of Birmingham and I have over four years of professional experience. I am currently working as a Legal Associate, specialising in Immigration Law. I am extremely passionate about using my expertise to help students succeed. Having experienced the stress of academia myself, I truly understand the pressure students face and am committed to supporting you every step of the way. I offer tutoring in a range of subjects including Law, English, History, and Politics at GCSE, A Level, and university level (please note I am only teaching University students in law). I’ve always been committed to helping others achieve their academic goals, whether through improving essay-writing skills, mastering complex legal concepts, guiding you through exam preparation, or even helping you to prepare for your future career, such as with CVs, law applications, or interview preparation. Whether you're struggling with certain topics or aiming for top grades, I can tailor lessons that will build your confidence and academic performance. I'm fully DBS approved, ensuring that your learning experience will be both safe and professional. My lessons are not just about helping you understand the material but also empowering you to excel with clear strategies, feedback, and ongoing support. My qualifications: - Law LLB – University of Birmingham (Upper Second Class Honours, 67.5%); - A Levels in History and Politics, English – Grades A, A, B; - 8 A*s and 3 As at GCSE; - Over four years of professional legal experience, currently working as a Legal Associate in Immigration Law; - Experience in CV drafting, such as artistic CVs for Global Talent clients; - Skilled in academic writing, critical thinking, and exam preparation across Law, English, History and Politics; - Experience teaching English and Sinhalese to children aged 3 to 5 in Sri Lanka, including those with severe learning difficulties, helping to develop clear communication, patience and adaptable teaching strategies; - Fully DBS approved.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive and completely tailored to each student. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method. Everyone learns differently, so I focus on understanding how you learn best and shape my lessons around that. Whether you're aiming for top grades, need help breaking down complex topics or just want to build confidence, I’m here to help. I focus on active learning: I use a mix of explanation, discussion and past paper practice to keep things clear and focused. For essay-based subjects like Law, History and Politics, we’ll work on structuring strong arguments and developing a clear writing style, always at a pace that works for you. Lesson details: Typical lesson length: 1 hour (can be adjusted depending on preference) Who I teach: – Law – University students, A Level and GCSE – English, History & Politics – GCSE and A Level Delivery: Online or in-person (London) With four years of professional legal experience and a solid academic record, I bring both subject knowledge and practical insight to each session.
