About Tara
I am a tutor in Maths, English and the Humanities (up to GCSE level) and Law and Economics A Levels.
Teaching is one of my main passions and I love helping students, whether that be with their confidence, revision for exams, or adapting my teaching methods to suit their learning style. I work in secondary schools as a Careers Adviser so I am very familiar with working with young people and help to overcome any barriers they may face to fulfil their full potential.
I have many years’ experience in tutoring, both in the UK and Australia. The students I work with would describe me as patient, kind and motivational, and have appreciated the extra support from my one on one sessions. I have proven success in helping students raise their grades and cope with exam pressures.
I am happy to travel to you (I live in Marlow and can travel to Marlow, Bourne End, Cookham, Maidenhead and Wycombe areas – if you are outside these areas please get in touch and we can arrange options). I would be available after school or on weekends by appointment.
I offer the first 20 minute appointment for free so we can get to know one another and to discuss your learning needs, to see if we would be a suitable tutor match.
Education & Qualifications:
• I graduated with an LLB and Bachelor of Economics from James Cook University, Australia, in 2011
• I studied at the Berlin School of Economics & Law as part of a one year exchange program in 2010
• I am currently studying for my Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development
• I have an Enhanced DBS to work with children and adults

I prefer to get to know the student in an initial one on one meeting, to identify their needs and preferred learning style. I then would base my lessons on the needs of the individual student, and develop lesson plans alongside them with clear Action points and targets.
