About Prakash
I am a graduate of the University of Windsor's Political Science: Law and Politics specialization program. I am a Windsor native and completed the International Baccalaureate Programme at Assumption High School in 2012. I have overseas work experience in the field of International Development. I have worked with youth in several capacities. I have worked as a tennis coach at Parkside Tennis Club for 7 years, have served on the Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee as Vice Chair, and have taught English in Nicaragua.

As a tennis coach, I have learned that every student requires different methods to keep them engaged. I am constantly assessing my students and trying to find new ways to interact and relate with them. I use humour, as well as compassion to build trust. I am comfortable with disciplining, as unruly children on a tennis court is a recipe for disaster! When it comes to academic tutoring, I instill the same sense of discovery and imagination into my lessons. I have an interdisciplinary academic background, and as such, I hope to give students perspective on the utility of what they are learning as it relates to their place in the global society. I believe a student who understands why they are learning will be much more happier and fulfilled than a student who is simply focused on what they are learning. With that being said, I highly value the importance of hard work. Sometimes you've just got to GTWD!
