About Sam
I completed an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Exeter, graduating in 2017, during which my dissertation received a high first of 90. I then completed an MA in Contemporary Literature and Cultural Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London, earning a distinction with a dissertation mark of 80.
Having initially struggled with essay writing, I found there was little help available from universities to cater to individual student improvement. I had to work incredibly hard to develop the skill and I would like to pass it on to others.

My aim is to tailor advice to individual students. We will work within the various confidentiality restrictions of whatever university or organisation the student belongs to, dealing with general essay writing fundamentals - structure, content, style - before elaborating on some key tips and tricks. This will vary between subject matter, and my experience of writing in a range of disciplines will allow me to tailor advice on an individual basis.
