I am a Spanish native speaker who has lived in Scotland for more than 10 years. I am passionate about languages because they open a bright horizon to the communication and understanding of other cultures and I would like to transmit my knowledge of languages to other people.

I am a self-motivated and perseverant individual with strong communication skills who loves teaching languages. I have got a BA in languages, English & French and my native language is Spanish, and an SVQ in Tourism with English. The length of each lesson is one hour and the teaching is for adults from 18 years old. A language can be taught in different ways depending on the target. If a student needs a language for academic purposes, it will be taught based on grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. If another student needs it for working abroad or travelling purposes, it will be more focused on speaking skills. I have got more than one year of experience tutoring Spanish and French for academic and travelling purposes, and I have got 5 years’ experience doing support in English as foreign languages, Spanish and French. I have taught French for academic purposes; I taught some grammar and vocabulary doing practice exercises, introducing some speaking when the student had learnt some grammar, and I added some short texts to read as a comprehension skill. I have taught Spanish for travelling purposes; I have done some tutoring focused on speaking skills, talking about different topics, adding on some grammar tenses and vocabulary, developing more the speaking topics and increasing the complexity of the language according to the student’s progression. I have done some support in English as a foreign language, Spanish and French in primary schools.
