About Marina
I grew up in Montreal, Quebec where I used to teach English Second Language to elementary school and high school students. I moved to Toronto in 2015, which is when I began teaching business English to adults. I love it and have been doing it ever since, both online and in person.
I have worked with both big and small groups, and I have many years' experience teaching one-on-one classes as well. I've helped a lot of learners with language exam preparation, including CELPIP, IELTS, and SLE.
Although my courses are in English only, I do speak French and Japanese, and a little bit of Greek. I'm currently studying Mandarin and German. Languages and teaching are my passions!

Hi! I'm Marina, a language enthusiast from Quebec with 10+ years' experience teaching ESL to adults. I tailor my lessons to students' individual needs, be it oral expression, writing, vocabulary, and/or grammar. I teach both business English and daily life communication. I also have some experience helping learners prep for some language exams. I teach at a variety of levels, from very beginner all the way to advanced (C2).
I usually hold classes for 1.5 or 2 hours at a time in person, whereas online classes can be anywhere between 1 hour to 3 hours, depending on the learners' needs and desires. Let's connect and practice English!
