About Helena

Hi, I’m Helena, a Korean tutor currently living in New York and majoring in Computer Science at Stony Brook University.

Before coming to the U.S., I studied Education and Computer Education at Korea National University of Education, where I developed a strong foundation in teaching methods, educational psychology, and learning strategies.

I have teaching experience with students of various age groups, from elementary to high school. I also worked as a tutor in the EBS (Educational Broadcasting System) program in Korea and provided private tutoring in English and Korean for high school students, helping them improve their academic performance.

Through my teaching experience, I have learned how to understand each student’s strengths and weaknesses and adapt my approach to meet their individual needs. I am comfortable communicating in both Korean and English, which allows me to support learners effectively, especially beginners.

I am passionate about helping students grow with confidence and making learning an enjoyable and meaningful experience.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners. Whether you are learning Korean for travel, conversation, academic purposes, or personal interest, I will guide you step by step with clear explanations and supportive feedback.
