About Hyoni

Hi there!
I am Hyoni from Korea, living in Seoul.
I am 27 in Korean age and 26 in international age.
(* Wait! you probably are wondering what the Korean age is. Do you know the difference between them? If not, we surely will start from this. haha)

I have been giving these Korean lessons for almost 2 and a half years and conducted over 450 lessons.
If you are interested in not only learning Korean but also experiencing Korean culture, trends and issues, and eventually elevating your Korean skill, I can confidently say I would be the best tutor and friend!

About the lesson

Hi there! I am Hyoni from Korea . So nice to meet you!
I have taught Korean for almost 2 and a half years now and met so many amazing students here and there!!

I would like to introduce myself a little bit so you could get to know me and my class!
I was born in Seoul and have lived all my life in Seoul. I also once lived in Birmingham and London for 2 years!

I studied History at SKKU (Sungkyunkwan Univerity), mainly Korean and East Asian history but also took European history as well. I got level 1 (first-class) on the Korean and English section of the Korean SAT.
With this, I could give you the exact expressions and the grammar in fluent English.
With my historical knowledge, I approach each topic with a 'story', so that you can easily understand why and how each expression came out. You can also get many interesting historical things about our culture, too!

Before the class, you will be given a Korean vocabulary list every time, and you will have a chance to use them in the class by making the sentences by yourself.

Don't worry about your level - I am open to everyone, from beginner to advanced! (I used to work at the big Korean SAT academy as a consultant, so I am able to give business & advanced Korean if needed.)

I believe the best teaching methodology should depend on the person. We can figure it out what would be the best way or approach for you!

I can be your best Korean friend who can talk about various topics in Korean & English!
