About Thomas

I am a Pre-Service Teacher who's currently conducting tuition lessons for the past 8 years. I have been re-modelling my tutoring skills and outputting my learning - mastering my craft throughout those years. As Japanese was my University major, I have been re-learning the basics to ensure my knowledge is improving and consistently refined. I have completed placements teaching Japanese at secondary schools that engage in practical teaching experiences. I hope these experiences will benefit you and my tuition programs. Fun fact! I was a former JENESYS scholarship recipient and went on a governmentally funded travel, study, and cultural immersion program in Japan. I have graduated from Meiji Gakuin University as an International Student with focuses on furthering my Japanese proficiencies and other areas of study. With study and practice, my hope is to enrich your understanding of the language world that is unequivocally unveiled upon us. Together, with my passion and love for learning, we will gain bundles of joy and, most importantly, IMPROVEMENT!

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is building and refurbishing your language skills. Your foundation to learn a language is important for you and for me. But let's not forget that my aim is to make Japanese fun and easy to learn. I believe your foundation is essential, as it is the first stepping stone when you tackle more compelling and complex concepts at school, work, or if you are self-studying the subject for fun. I firmly believe in a strong foundation when learning a second language; skills including, but not subjected to speaking, reading, listening, and writing. Grammar and pronunciation are key. Under me, my affordable rates allow you to study at ease with unlocked perks. You will have access to resources my past Japanese teachers, mentors, and friends have shared and collaborated together over the years. You will gain extreme confidence and acquire the final polish to demonstrate high-achieving grades in your examination papers. Through vigorous practical exercises, retention with opportunities to practice with my Japanese peers, my curriculum will complement your school work, future SACS, and proficiency exams to come.

Thomas is a very nice guy. He is a very sociable person from my observation - he tends to make friends everywhere he goes! He is a member of many clubs at uni and from my observation, tends to get along with the people he meets.
He has a good heart I feel - the fact that he wants to be a teacher tells me that he wishes to invest in the future - the children.
He is also a very hard worker. I can see that his eyes flow with ambition. He is definitely the type to work hard to achieve his goals - a great attribute for a teacher, as he works hard to better himself every day.
