About Alison
As a French tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience, my approach is designed to ensure students not only understand the language but can also use it fluently and confidently in real-life situations. I believe that language learning should be enjoyable, and I incorporate a mix of creative activities, exercises, and cultural content into every lesson. For beginners, I start with building a foundation of essential vocabulary, grammar rules, and pronunciation, and for advanced students, I focus on improving conversational skills, grammar accuracy, and reading comprehension. As a French tutor with a passion for languages and culture, I’ve spent over 12 years helping students achieve their French language goals. I focus on all aspects of language learning, but I particularly emphasize speaking and listening skills, helping students to feel confident in real-world situations. I also ensure that grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, so students learn how to use French meaningfully. I encourage my students to practice French outside of the classroom by watching French films, listening to French music, and speaking with native speakers. This immersive approach helps students quickly develop their skills and gain a deeper understanding of French culture.
